We started in 1971 with B&S Screw Machines & wrote a cam layout program in
1980 on a Tandy Computer, then a Commodore. In 1985 ported it over to the IBM
PC. We have sold many programs to other shops & cam layout companies.
A very special thanks to Lee R. Ragland, Sr. for helping with this program.
Opening screen
In the Cam screen, enter operations
with two letter code or type in any special operation.
Cycle time & total revolutions
are updated as you enter more operations.
The ending final round off 100ths screen.
The closest cycle time on this machine left 1.71 100ths extra.
You can add or subtract from any operation
as you work through them. You could also have chosen a faster time cycle
& then you would have to trim 100ths
from index or tools that you knew you could push.
Finishing up, we will round off the
front form to 6.5 & the rear form to 4 100ths.
All that is left when done, is to print
your layout. Now it's ready to cut the cams or send to the cam shop.
A
printed complete layout is shown below (The
cutoff is overlapped).

The "Info" button has the information for trying the Demo of this program.
